The Chameleon
Yoav Bar-Lavi
Once upon a time, a grey lizard wandered around, in places her eyes haven't yet seen. She walked through a green field and envied its color, so she complimented and asked him to give her from it. The field got flattered and filled her wish, her skin turned green and she was happy. But then she climbed up a tree, after its smooth bark catch her eyes. She envied its color, coz her green now seemed to her graceless. The tree got flattered and gave her from his color. She was happy again, but before the end of the day she saw a yellow flower, and her heart got desired again; and like the field and the tree, he also gave her from his color. However, right after her skin turned yellow, it seemed to her tasteless and she wanted to change. But then she was terrified to realize she doesn't know what she wants, and what is grace in her eyes. Actually she no longer knew who is she anymore. She missed the grey she was born with, but it lost.
Since then, the chameleon walks and changes its color by the foothold, and her misery reflected in her eyes which desire for color of its own.
